WingTsun and Escrima have become a philosophy of life for me, whose logic and intuition make my innermost vibrate every day.

Why did you start with WingTsun?

The main motivation was the joy and working with people and the Asian, sport aspect.

Why are you still doing WingTsun/Escrima?

I still enjoy working with people and going in depth. Many students are still with me even after 30 years and we have become a family.

What was your standout WT experience?

One of the most significant experiences was my appointment as the 5th MG at SiGung Leung Ting’s 50th birthday celebration. We celebrated with 170 people in China at that time. On this study trip, which lasted a total of 21 days, the impressions were tremendous. Many friendships with colleagues developed from this time.

What changed for you when you received the 1st HG or 5th MG?

The 1st HG gave me the feeling at that time to begin. This probably came from the fact that SiGung Leung Ting presented his first video and I could see for the first time what there was still to learn. 
After the 5th MG I had the attitude of having arrived: because after the 5th MG many areas of the higher consecrations of WingTsun opened up. A time began that felt like a rush of the senses and that continues to this day.
