2. Collection of general information
When you access our websites, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information includes, for example, the type of web browser used, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and the like. This exclusively concerns information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. Moreover, this data is also generated when accessing any other website on the Internet. It is, therefore, not a special function of our website. The information collected in this way is subject to statistical evaluation by us.

3. Collection of personal data
In principle, you can use our pages without having to provide your personal data. Personal data is only collected by us if you decide to disclose it to us (e.g. for the purpose of establishing personal contact).

Insofar as personal data is transmitted to us and the respective school selected by you, we will, of course, treat it with the utmost confidentiality and only use it for the purpose you have requested.

We only disclose customers’ personal data if we are under a statutory obligation to do so, or if such a disclosure is necessary to legally enforce our general terms and conditions or other contractual agreements, or to protect our rights and those of our customers.

EWTO school leaders are not third parties within the meaning of the General Data Protection Act (GDPR).

4. Handling your personal data
We only handle personal data insofar as this is possible in accordance with data protection regulations. We also take all necessary technical and organisational security measures to adequately protect your personal data from unauthorised access and misuse at all times.

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption methods (e.g., SSL) via HTTPS. Our servers are secured by firewall and virus protection. Backup and recovery procedures, as well as role and authorisation concepts, are a matter of course for us.

5. Information and deletion
You have the right at any time to the free disclosure of information (Art. 15) about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing, as well as a right to correction (Art. 16) and blocking or deletion according to Art. 17 GDPR of this data. You also have a right of appeal to the competent data protection supervisory authority.

The deletion of data is not possible in special cases (Art. 17 [3]):
e.g., processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.
You have the right to revoke the declared consent.

6. Right to data portability
In accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format, insofar as this does not affect the rights and freedoms of other persons.

If you wish to exercise this right, please let us know (preferably by e-mail to datenschutz@ewto.com).

We will then transfer your data to you personally or a third party to be determined by you within one month. The transmission to third parties only takes place insofar as this is technically feasible.

7. Protection of personal data and confidentiality
We cannot guarantee that information or personal data transmitted to us will not be “intercepted” by third parties during transmission.
