Why did you start with WingTsun?

When I started WingTsun in December 1993 in Erfurt, self-defense was of course my first priority. In particular, the forms and the LatSao inspired me. With ChiSao I could not do too much at that time and wanted to stop at that time actually already again. That I started with WingTsun was pure coincidence, because when I played with the thought to learn a martial art, just the WingTsun school opened in Erfurt and I saw the invitation to the demonstration and to a test training. Enthusiastic about my future Sihing I signed the contract on the same day. Now it has become more than 20 years, and I am glad that it all turned out that way back then.

Why are you still doing WingTsun?

While in the beginning only self-defense and individual techniques were in the foreground, WingTsun and its principles have now become an integral part of my life. WingTsun has also played a significant role in my professional success. I am always happy to be able to pass on WingTsun not only to my students, but now also to my son.

What was your standout WT experience?

The opening of my own school was already a very special highlight.

What changed for you when you received the 1st HG or 5th MG?

The experience you gain from the 1st HG to the 5th MG makes all the difference.
