Why did you start WingTsun?

I had extensive experience in the martial arts world – I was a coach for the national Wushu team, held a 5th Dan in Kyokushin Karate, and was a Kung Fu master. I had practiced and taught many styles. Yet, when I first saw WingTsun, I immediately realized it was completely different from everything I had experienced before. Its subtlety, precision, and philosophy spoke to me in a way no other martial art had. Its uniqueness is hard to describe in words – it felt alive, as if the art itself had a soul. I knew from that moment that this was the path I wanted to follow, not just for martial skills, but for personal growth, balance, and connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Why are you still doing WingTsun?

WingTsun is my motivation and my life. I live for it. It shapes who I am, not just physically but in every part of my life. I cannot imagine my life without WingTsun. It challenges me every day, keeps me focused, and helps me grow – not just as a martial artist, but as a person.

What was your most outstanding WingTsun experience?

One of my most memorable WingTsun experiences was a moment during training when I realized how much I could improve myself through practice. Even after years of training in other martial arts, WingTsun showed me a completely new way of moving, thinking, and focusing. That moment reminded me why I continue every day – it challenges me and keeps me growing.

What changes for you when you received the 1st HG or 5th MG?

Receiving my 1st HG and later my 5th MG were important milestones in my WingTsun journey. As the head of WingTsun in Iran, these ranks not only recognized my skills but also reinforced the responsibility I carry to lead, guide, and support our community. Each rank strengthened my focus, discipline, and commitment to the art. They reminded me that leadership in WingTsun is not about status, but about dedication, continual growth, and serving the art and its practitioners.
