Why did you start with WingTsun?

First I started very young with competitive gymnastics. After moving to Eckernförde, I was looking for something similarly challenging. I came to my teacher DaiSifu Peter Thietje, who infected me with his enthusiasm and enabled me to train intensively.

Why are you still doing WingTsun?

WingTsun is a big part of us and is virtually lived in our small family. We attend private lessons together, the children are present when we teach, we train in the living room, our teacher’s school is in the same house. Teaching is our everyday life, learning is our hobby, private lessons are our Christmas. I still do WingTsun because you don’t just stop living.

What was your standout WT experience?

Making my private student Olli my husband was and is my most outstanding WingTsun experience.

What changed for you when you received the 1st HG or 5th MG?

In WingTsun of the teachers (formerly technicians) I learned a lot in group lessons, with the training partner, repeated and improved techniques and also procedures. The lessons were also more general.
As a master I learn WingTsun more intense, more direct and the lessons are much more individual and personal. The focus of my teachers is directly on me and together we search inside for the WingTsun feeling.
