Why did you start with WingTsun?

In my hometown in the Harz mountains there was a poster in my youth (1982) with the inscription: “WingTsun – The basis of Bruce Lee’s fighting style”.Al s a Bruce Lee fan at that time I was of course curious and I was then very quickly enthusiastic about the effectiveness of WingTsun.

Why are you still doing WingTsun?

Since my 3rd student degree it was clear to me that I wanted to become a WingTsun teacher. I moved from the Harz Mountains to Wiesbaden to open my own WingTsun school.
 So I could turn my passion into a profession and fulfill my dream. In addition, there is of course the enthusiasm to never stop learning.

What was your standout WT experience?

There were many outstanding experiences in now 34 years. The school opening in 1988 in Wiesbaden, carried out by Emin Boztepe (at that time “Fighter of the Year”) in the presence of Grandmaster Kernspecht and the appointment as Sifu in 1992 had special significance.

What changed for you when you received the 1st HG or 5th MG?

The 1st HG and the 5th MG are of course milestones in the development of a teacher. But the appointment to the master degree is something very special – a long way that never ends.
